Around 2 PM it had warmed up, and the snow was getting slushy. Since the Truckee River wasn't too far away, we changed out of our snow clothes and traded them for waders. The usual afternoon wind was blowing in Truckee. There were bugs coming off of the water, though, and the fish were actively feeding. I managed to land 2 fish: a 15" rainbow and a 19" brown.

Does it get any better than this?
